Letters, 1895-1938.

One handwritten and signed letter addressed to "My Dear Hart" and dated March 1895. Beard writes about payment for an illustration which he had produced. Also included is a typewritten and signed letter, dated 18 April 1938, addressed to R. Meritt Baker of Denver, Colorado, and composed on stationary of the Boy Scouts of America. Beard writes about a missed engagement for which he was to write a greeting. With the letter is the envelope in which it was sent.
